Fast. Simple. Booked.

Free appointment booking plugin for WordPress.

Clients pick a time on your own site in a few clicks, with no account to create and no third-party service in between.

Free plugin. WordPress 6.0 or newer.

Try it. This is what your clients see.

Step 1 of 3

Set up once. Takes about five minutes.

No accounts to connect and nothing to configure outside WordPress. Three things and your booking page is live.

  1. 1

    Create meeting types

An intro call, a consultation, a studio session. Each gets its own length, description and location.

  2. 2

    Set your weekly hours

Choose the days and hours you take bookings. Clients only ever see times that are actually free.

  3. 3

    Add it to a page

Paste one shortcode into any page or post. The booking page takes on your theme's fonts and colors.

    [bookira_booking]

Everything a booking needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Bookira handles the back-and-forth, so you can confirm a meeting in one click and get back to work.

  • Only free times are shown

Booked slots and hours you're away disappear on their own. No double bookings.

  • No sign-up for clients

A name and an email address. That's all they need to book.

  • Confirm in one click

New requests wait for you. Confirm, cancel or reschedule them straight from your dashboard.

  • Calendar invites included

Every confirmation email carries a calendar file for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.

  • Automatic reminders

A reminder goes to you and your client before each meeting, from 15 minutes to 24 hours ahead.

  • Emails in your own words

Edit every email your clients receive, with placeholders for their name, the date and the time.

  • Your colours, your fonts

Pick two colours for the booking card, or switch to a plain layout that matches your theme. Fonts always come from your site.

  • Your data stays with you

Bookings live in your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent to an outside service.

Made for people who book one-on-one time.

If your work happens one client at a time, Bookira fits. It is not built for classes, events or group bookings.

  • Consultants and coaches

Discovery calls and paid sessions, booked straight from your website.

  • Freelancers and agencies

Project kick-offs and client check-ins without email ping-pong.

  • Therapists and counsellors

Private one-on-one sessions, with your clients' details visible only to you.

  • Tutors and teachers

Lessons and parent meetings at times you choose each week.

  • Studios and salons

Single appointments for one client at a time, confirmed by you.

  • Small practices

Consultations with one practitioner, with reminders so fewer people forget.

Questions about Bookira

Straight answers, including what Bookira does not do yet.

Is Bookira really free?

Yes. The plugin is free and open source under the GPL, with no booking limit, no trial and no card required. If a paid edition comes later, it will only add new features.

Do my clients need an account?

No. They enter their name and email, and get a confirmation by email. An optional phone number and a note are there if they want to add them.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. The booking page always uses your theme's fonts. Choose the Bookira card style in your own two colours, or a plain layout that takes its colours from your theme. It has been tested with block themes, Astra and Hello Elementor.

Does it sync with Google Calendar or Outlook?

Not directly. Every confirmation email includes a calendar file (.ics) that adds the meeting to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook in one click. Two-way calendar sync is not included.

Can clients reschedule or cancel on their own?

Not in this version. You reschedule or cancel from your WordPress dashboard, and the client gets an email with the new details automatically.

Can I take payments or run group classes?

No. Bookira is made for one-on-one appointments without payment. For paid bookings or group sessions you need a different tool.

Why do reminders sometimes arrive late?

Reminders run on WP-Cron, which only fires when your site gets visits. On quiet sites, ask your host to set up a real cron job for wp-cron.php and reminders go out on time.

What happens to my bookings if I delete the plugin?

They're kept. Your data is only removed if you tick that option under Bookira, Settings, General before deleting the plugin.

Is it available in my language?

Bookira is translation ready. Every screen and email can be translated, and the calendar uses your site's language for day and month names.

Your booking page is five minutes away.

Install Bookira, add your hours and share the link. The next client books themselves.
